Dave Hecker-Keyboards/Lead & Background Vocals

Dave Hecker playing keyboards

Dave Hecker, who hails from Arizona, has spent more than four decades playing keyboards and has a real love for classic rock bands. His musical adventure started when he was just ten years old, and his neighbors moved away, leaving behind a piano. “My dad got it for $50,” he remembers, “and I started teaching myself to play Beatles songs and other tunes.” After that, he joined a band and has been involved in the music scene ever since. By the time he was twenty-one, he was playing in local bars for money and was part of the 1980s bands “Attraction” and “Private Eyes” and The Steve Console Project, an all-original group that Steve Vai, a friend and schoolmate of Steve Console, helped produce.

Dave kept playing in local rock bands for a few years before taking a break to have a family and follow his love for praise and worship music. When tribute bands became popular, he joined “Second Helping,” a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, playing Billy Powell. He’s also been involved in “Bret Kaiser’s Speedway,” an Elvis tribute, “Ultimate Bon Jovi,” and “Project Presley,” which is led by Chance Tinder, a well-known ElvisPresley artist. Other tributes he’s been part of include “The Rolling Stones” and “Elton John.”

Dave our incredible keyboard player, really enjoys the “magic” Alibi has created together!
